The Tokyo Ghoul Moment is a term that refers to the moment when the anime fandom and anime became more mainstream. Prior to this, the anime fan base was largely made up of people who were into Japanese culture. However, with the release of Tokyo Ghoul in 2014, it brought in a new wave of fans who were not as interested in Japanese culture but rather wanted to watch an entertaining show.
